Welcome! Thanks for inquiring about B.WELL OT’s services.

Once you fill out the contact form or schedule online, you should receive a welcome email from our online health record system, Jane, and some quick intake and consent forms to complete.

We generally don’t give an estimated duration of service time upon intake as there are many factors that impact recommended duration and frequency of therapy (age of baby/child, developmental status, medical status, compounding factors inhibiting function, etc). With that in mind, we typically see babies for an evaluation and 3 visits minimum, 6-9 visits on average, and sometimes see babies for months. This is a very individualized process and you and your therapist work together as a team to reach optimal outcomes. We offer packages of 6, 9, and 12 sessions.

Once we begin therapy, you will receive access to notes on Jane generally within 24 hrs after your visit, and families are encouraged to communicate back and forth with your OT via phone/text or email. Jane will be used for scheduling and billing, as well as a resource hub for you and your child with video links, and resources. We love getting updates via text and email throughout the week as consistent communication between OT and family leads to better outcomes!

If you have further questions about our services, please feel free to call us at 267-361-0161.

  • I’m coming for an office visit, what should I expect?

Please allot some time to look for parking, there is typically available street parking within a block or two, but this is dependent on time of day as well as the endless road work and construction in this area.

B.WELL OT utilizes the back area of a wonderful children’s boutique, Minnow Lane when the shop is closed to customers, so we have the space to ourselves and stroller parking is allowed at the front of the store. With this in mind, please be patient when entering the shop as we may be finishing up with a family and need a moment to get to the door. The door is locked during sessions for security.

Please bring your typical diaper bag essentials for your child - a burp cloth, swaddle blanket, extra clothes, diapers/wipes, bottles if needed, pacifiers if used, and a small preferred toy if your child has any.

What to have ready for in-home infant visits?

    • A small floor play area - please don’t speed clean!

    • A swaddle blanket or two for positioning

    • Any preferred toys / high contrast cards / teethers / rattles

    • A large physioball can be helpful but isn’t necessary

What to have ready for infant feeding visits?

    • Any tools you typically need for feeds (nipple shield, positioning pillows, etc)

    • Bottles and pacifiers used

What to bring or have ready for feeding solids visits?

    • 3 small portions of food you typically present to your child for meals/snacks

    • 1 small portion of a food you would like to include in their diet

    • cup(s) they typically use

    • bib or extra set of clothes

What to bring to a visit involving head shape concerns?

    • Pictures of baby throughout the day - in whatever containers or spots they are in frequently

    • If they are still swaddled for sleep, please have a velcro swaddle and one flannel (hospital-type) swaddle blanket available

  • We take the health of our smallest clients very seriously and also understand that illnesses happen.

Please let us know as soon as you can if you or your child is sick with a fever or ailment that will prevent them from participating in therapy. We do our best to reschedule when possible with enough notice, though have a 24 hr cancellation policy we do uphold.

We ask that your child is fever free for 24 hrs prior to their next visit. If there has been a positive case of Covid in the home, please be symptom free and 5 days from on-set of symptoms to have a visit.

We are happy to mask for all visits if desired (most families prefer for therapist to be masked, some do not - we do what you are most comfortable with).

We glove for all oral work.

Please reach out with any specific questions!

  • Please email hello@bwellot.com as soon as you can to cancel or reschedule your appointment. All visits not cancelled within 24 hrs will be charged at the full rate. We do our best to be flexible with families so please communicate with us to see what we can do.
